I always believed in fairytales, and still do. But what happens when you find out that Prince Charming the Prince Charming is a looser? The beautiful sleeping beauty, Princess Gwendolyn, nothing but a wicket disappointed little princes. You might think that all of this eventually burst the fairy bubble, childhood memories we tried to cherish forever, but nothing could be less true. Prince Charming had one destiny: to slay the dragon and save the princess. However a farmer named Will Pickett and his sister Elisabeth, involuntarily, threw a spanner in the works. Prince Charming; When all he does hilariously goes wrong, all the fairy dust disappears and all of a sudden he becomes just like you and me, an ordinary person, who is trapped in role, a character we all (fairytale world or not) made him to. This applies to most of the fairy tale characters that were worked into the story. The twist given to each character made them so real. Princess Gwendolyn, beautiful, however the complete opposite of the fairytale princess we all know so well, although she is dark and mean, at the same time I compassioned her. Loved the dwarves (dwarfs), and the way they made the story (also the famous story) their own. I completely “lost the King” but that had no impact on the story what so ever. To wrap it up in a few words: I loved it! It’ easy to read and if you love fairytales you couldn’t have wished for a better fairy tale ending than this. |
