First, I would like to let you know; I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Along with this book, I received a copy of book one. I was pleasantly surprised with book one, A Fairy Tale Ending. The Pitchfork of Destiny is the follow up of the first book " A Fairy-Tale Ending". It is not necessary to read the first book , although I would recommend it. Book two picks up right where book one leaves off. Life in the Kingdom of Royaume has been happily ever for King William and his fiancée, Lady Rapunzel, known as “Elle.” Volthraxus, a dragon, is searching for his dragon-love. After Volthraxus discovers his love was slain he seeks vengeance against her killer, the newly crowned king. The dragon seeks his revenge by kidnapping the kings fiancee Rapunzel, known as “Elle.” Once again, Will teams up with Edward Charming. Both men want to prove themselves: Edward, when he was prince, was prophesied to kill the dragon himself. Our heroes’ fates depend on finding a weapon re-forged in dragon blood—the Pitchfork of Destiny. As the two set off after the dragon, Charming s bride, Lady Elizabeth, falls into the clutches of a mysterious sorcerer known as the Dracomancer, who has his own plans for Royaume." The characters are well developed in book 2. I liked the tree bears and how the "hunger" of the wolf made them look both vicious and adorable. All in all an adorable story . |
